A gentle guide to what to expect, from your first conversation to aftercare.

At Áurea Aesthetics, our approach focuses on natural, subtle results that complement your individual features. All treatments are carried out by Dr Amy, a qualified medical doctor, with an emphasis on patient safety and informed decision-making

  1. YOUR CONSULTATION

    Your consultation with Dr Amy will include a discussion of your treatment goals, medical history, medications and any relevant allergies. She will assess the areas of concern and explain the available treatment options, including their potential benefits, risks and expected outcomes.

    This ensures you have the information needed to make an informed decision. Treatment will only be recommended where clinically appropriate, with no obligation to proceed on the day.

  2. BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

    • You must be 18 or over. Please bring photo ID to your first appointment.

    • We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments, to help minimise bruising.

    • Inform us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, unwell, or have a skin infection or cold sore near the treatment area.

    • Let us know about any medications or supplements you take, including blood thinners. Do not stop prescribed medication without consulting your prescribing clinician.

  3. DURING YOUR TREATMENT

    Dr Amy will explain the procedure and answer any questions before obtaining your consent. Your skin will be prepared appropriately, and treatment will be carried out with care and attention to safety.

    A clinical record of your treatment will be maintained, including details of any products used.

  4. AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

    Following your appointment, you will receive written aftercare instructions specific to your treatment, including what to expect during recovery and when to seek further advice.

  5. YOUR REVIEW

    All patients are invited to return for a follow-up appointment two weeks after treatment. This allows Dr Amy to assess your results, review your recovery and address any questions or concerns.
